QA Test Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and assesses intricate software architectures and system integrations to develop comprehensive testing strategies that guarantee full coverage of requirements.

• Proficient in software development with expertise in Python, JavaScript, and various scripting languages.

• Design, implement, and sustain automated testing suites utilizing BDD with Playwright and Selenium frameworks, facilitating functional, regression, and integration testing across web applications.

• Conduct both manual and automated tests, document outcomes, analyze failures, perform root cause investigations, and effectively communicate quality risks and results.

• Rapidly comprehend new features and improvements, evaluating their impact on existing functionalities and identifying suitable test coverage.

• Actively engage in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, demonstrations, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, networking, and operations) to ensure prompt resolution of issues and enhancements in quality.

• Utilize AI-assisted testing tools and methodologies (e.g., AI-generated test scenarios, optimized test maintenance, failure pattern analysis, or exploratory testing support) to boost efficiency and testing effectiveness.

• Contribute as a proactive team member, working collaboratively to address complex quality and system-level challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Intermediate to fluent proficiency in English.

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering positions.

• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/iterative methodologies.

• Practical experience with contemporary test automation frameworks, including Playwright, Selenium, and Behave (BDD).

• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby (a plus).

• Experience in testing or developing React Native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android, including the use of BrowserStack or similar device farms for cross-device validation (a plus).

• Hands-on automation experience for React Native mobile apps using tools like Appium, Detox, BrowserStack integrations, or similar frameworks (a plus).

• Experience with performance and non-functional testing tools such as JMeter.

• Familiarity with Linux environments; scripting experience is an asset.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-oriented quality practices.

• Interest in or experience with AI-assisted testing methods, including leveraging AI to speed up test development, enhance automation stability, or assist with defect analysis.
