QA Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Perform quality assessments and linguistic validation for English to Thai subtitle content, encompassing both English and non-English materials.

• Guarantee the precision of translations, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, fluency, and the intent conveyed through the subtitles.

• Offer constructive feedback to translators and manage their responses effectively.

• Identify any issues related to subtitle quality and collaborate with the production team to address them promptly.

• Adhere to department-specific schedules and guidelines, demonstrating compliance with the timeline.

• Assist in conducting root cause analyses for quality issues related to the Thai language.

• Engage actively in all training programs aimed at enhancing job and personal knowledge.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the lead linguists.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Arts degree in language, translation, or a related field.

• Significant experience in localization and subtitling.

• Exceptional skills in Thai and English, both written and spoken.

• A genuine passion for languages and a commitment to delivering quality work.

• Familiarity with other languages and cultures (such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or Southeast Asian languages) is advantageous.

• Must exhibit strong organizational skills, diligence, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to apply sound judgment and conduct research in ambiguous situations.

• Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
