QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Providing high-quality, scalable digital solutions by enhancing and maintaining automated test suites while supporting complex releases through manual testing.

• Designing, planning, and implementing test strategies across multiple simultaneous projects to ensure thorough coverage in functional, regression, integration, accessibility, and cross-browser testing.

• Overseeing defects from start to finish, conducting root cause analysis, and serving as a primary contact for release validation.

• Contributing to CI/CD quality engineering by expanding and maintaining automated test suites, refining quality gates, and identifying opportunities to boost automation and minimize manual effort.

• Actively identifying risks, enhancing test coverage, and assisting in defect prevention prior to release.

• Supporting governance and continuous improvement by keeping QA documentation, test data, and environments up to date, contributing to audit and compliance requirements (including SOC 2), and driving initiatives that elevate quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seasoned QA professional with a robust background in both manual and automated web testing within CI/CD environments.

• Practical experience in developing and executing test plans, testing APIs, and utilizing modern automation tools such as Katalon (or similar).

• Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).

• Experience in validating accessibility according to WCAG standards.

• Proficient in using tools like Postman, SQL, and work tracking platforms such as Azure DevOps.

• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the capability to troubleshoot defects, trace data flows, and communicate effectively through high-quality documentation.

• Experience in regulated or audit-controlled environments, as well as exposure to security, performance, or eCommerce testing is preferred.
