This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• In the role of QA Automation Lead for Data Engineering at Juniper Square, you will take the lead in ensuring the quality and reliability of data for your project.
• You will be responsible for developing the comprehensive data testing strategy, focusing on the integrity, accuracy, and performance of our data pipelines and analytical platforms, while also managing release readiness.
• Work closely with data engineering, product, and data science teams to establish and advance our manual and automated testing initiatives.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field of professional experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, showcasing a proven ability to lead comprehensive testing efforts throughout the complete software and data lifecycle.
• Proficiency in relational databases and strong SQL skills, including the capacity to write complex queries for data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
• A solid grasp of data engineering principles, encompassing data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data warehouse architecture, and OLAP technologies (such as Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
• Strong skills in Python, with the ability to read, comprehend, and troubleshoot data pipeline code.
• Demonstrated experience in QA automation, including the design and implementation of automated test frameworks, test suites, and CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines.
• A proactive approach to utilizing AI-powered tools (like Augment, Cursor, Gemini) to enhance test authoring, assist in debugging automation scripts, and improve data documentation workflows.
• Experience overseeing the entire release cycle for data features, from defining testing requirements to making final 'Go/No-Go' delivery decisions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, remarkable attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in fast-paced Agile development teams with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
