QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and implement automated tests by creating scripts that facilitate automatic testing functions.

• Enhance test coverage for the system's most essential features.

• Assess the priority of test scenarios and formulate execution plans for their implementation.

• Create documentation for automated processes, including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.

• Record and document bugs within the tracking system.

• Establish Continuous Integration processes.

• In addition to automated testing, Test Automation Engineers may conduct exploratory testing to gain insights into how functionality is experienced by the customer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Skills – Proficient in programming languages such as Java and JavaScript for coding.

• Propose or implement framework enhancements to meet scripting requirements.

• Analytical skills – Ability to critically assess bug reports, prioritize essential tests, and optimize application functions through automated testing methods.

• Attention to detail – Being detail-oriented is crucial as you will be testing web and mobile applications to identify areas for improvement and diagnose issues.

• Communication skills – Strong verbal communication abilities are necessary to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and produce testing plans and written reports detailing errors.

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium.

• Familiarity with API testing tools that require robust coding skills to create tests, including REST Assured, Rest Sharp, JMeter, etc.

• Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and GitHub.

• Proficiency in JIRA for defect tracking and task management.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Automation is required.

• Experience in the e-commerce sector is preferred.

• Previous work experience with offshore, nearshore, or onshore models is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Agile methodology is preferred.
