QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold automated testing processes utilizing Python, with guidance from experienced team members.

• Contribute to the development of test cases for APIs, AI providers, backend services, and comprehensive end-to-end scenarios.

• Assist in the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Support the maintenance and enhancement of current testing frameworks.

• Execute both manual and automated test cases to validate new features and resolve bugs.

• Identify, document, and effectively track bugs.

• Engage in code reviews and discussions regarding testing.

• Acquire and implement best practices in software quality assurance and testing.

• Aid initiatives aimed at broadening test coverage through AI tools.

• Participate in experiments with AI-driven test generation and analysis tools.

• Understand how AI can be leveraged to highlight gaps in test coverage and enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members.

• Proactively learn new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.

• Pose questions, seek feedback, and strive for continuous skill improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Fundamental knowledge of Python programming.

• Understanding of software testing principles (both manual and automated).

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Strong desire to learn and advance in QA automation.

• Exposure to testing tools such as PyTest, Selenium, or Playwright (Nice to Have).

• Basic understanding of APIs (REST) and their testing (Nice to Have).

• Basic experience with Linux (Nice to Have).

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (Nice to Have).

• Interest in AI/ML or curiosity about the application of AI in testing (Nice to Have).
