QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Analyze, document, and report issues identified while applying best practices in Quality Assurance.

• Comprehend the development process and synchronize efforts with your team accordingly.

• Develop detailed test plans and carry out their execution.

• Design automated functional tests.

• Collaborate closely with other Quality Assurance team members to automate high-cost test plans, enhancing overall team efficiency.

• Perform various phases of both functional and non-functional testing to ensure the quality of new software releases.

• Conduct cross-browser testing to verify application compatibility across different browsers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in Quality Assurance.

• Familiarity with the software development life cycle and bug life cycle.

• Knowledge of tools such as Selenium Webdriver and Pytest.

• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.

• Experience with Pycharm and GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail/Testmo, and Confluence.

• Experience with open-source databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in API/backend services testing tools like Postman.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Understanding of bug triaging, Agile methodologies, SCRUM practices, and QA efforts.

• Knowledge of testing techniques (e.g., performance, automation), including their strengths and weaknesses.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

• Expertise in cross-browser/environment testing.
