QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead the software testing lifecycle by designing effective test plans, reviewing requirement specifications and technical design documents, and providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Carry out manual test scenarios to cover new features and address bug fixes.

• Organize and perform Integration testing in collaboration with clients and third-party teams.

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced automated Test Suites for mobile applications.

• Work in partnership with Development teams, QA personnel, and our Delivery Manager to ensure the quality and reliability of deliverables.

• Engage closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to define well-structured and testable user stories.

• Actively participate in activities related to Test management, including test execution, reporting, and tracking.

• Encourage continuous improvement by researching and proposing alternatives and new technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Testing with a focus on automation.

• Experience in testing Mobile Applications on production-grade systems.

• Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, or Python.

• Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks for End-to-End Testing on mobile applications (e.g., Appium).

• Experience in API Testing and related tools such as Postman/Newman.

• Knowledge of version control and defect tracking tools like GIT, JIRA, etc.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong commitment to maintaining quality, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

• Proficiency in English is essential, as we operate in a multinational environment.

• Active participation as a team player enhancing collaborative efforts.

• A keen interest in learning new technologies and embracing innovative thinking.

• It would be a plus if you have:

• Skills in Bash scripting and setting up automation pipelines.

• Previous experience in Performance/Load testing.

• ISTQB certification at the foundation level.
