QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Azumo is on the lookout for highly driven **QA Automation Engineers** to conduct testing across a diverse range of technologies, including web, cloud, microservices, SQL and NoSQL environments, as well as big data solutions. The products and features being developed are utilized by millions, and the QA Engineer will serve as the quality gatekeeper for the product.** This position is fully remote and based in Latin America.**

• This role offers the chance to collaborate with an expanding team of talented engineers specializing in backend, analytics, and big data computing. You will thrive in this position if you enjoy crafting test strategies for innovative products, automating testing processes, and taking ownership of releases for your teams.

• **Responsibilities:

• - Create test plans to assess product scalability, fault tolerance, stability, and backward compatibility for products in development

• - Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation strategies

• - Evaluate various approaches and technologies to implement in testing methodologies

• - Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues until resolution

• The QA Engineer will be located in Latin America. Compensation will be based on experience and the potential of the candidate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Basic Qualifications:

• - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

• - Over 4 years of experience in software testing, including automation and test development roles

• - At least 1 year of coding experience in Java and Python

• - Familiarity with automated tools and testing frameworks, including performance testing (load and concurrency)

• - Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures

• - Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment and test coverage analysis

• - Self-motivated and driven, possessing a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving

• - Professional proficiency in English (B2/C1)

• Preferred Qualifications:

• - Experience testing within a distributed system and service-oriented architecture

• - Familiarity with big data platforms such as Hadoop and Kafka

• - Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS EC2, Docker, Redshift, EMR)

• - Testing experience for analytics, dashboards, and visualization software products.
