QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality systems.

• Collaborate with engineers to develop testing plans for various system types.

• Acquire expertise in establishing appropriate test strategies and automating tests for diverse systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in QA Engineering, emphasizing automation and test strategy.

• Proficient in scripting languages (such as JavaScript, Java, or similar) for the creation of automated tests.

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright is a valuable asset).

• Strong background in API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or equivalents).

• Familiarity with backend service testing (considered a plus).

• Experience in testing for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.

• Mobile testing experience on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools (a nice addition).

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and QA's contribution to enhancing product quality from the outset.

• Strong grasp of test pyramid principles and best practices for achieving a balance between manual and automated test coverage.

• Direct experience with Jira and TestRail (or similar test management tools).

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to question and suggest improvements.

• Analytical mindset paired with strong problem-solving skills.

• Self-discipline and adaptability to thrive in a remote-first environment.

• Capability to independently determine regression test coverage.

• Strong ownership of manual testing efforts, supplemented with automation where it provides the most benefit.

• A questioning mindset that ensures all assumptions are rigorously tested.

• Availability in a timezone that aligns closely with European time.
