Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain Python-based services and integrations that enhance IAM and access management platforms.

• Assist with cloud infrastructure deployments utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Terraform Enterprise) under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Facilitate the onboarding of internally hosted, SaaS, and custom applications into centralized data and access frameworks.

• Aid in the implementation and support of integrations between IAM tools and enterprise platforms such as IGA solutions, ServiceNow, and Okta.

• Execute data mapping and management tasks to integrate application user access data.

• Participate in the development and maintenance of Terraform Enterprise (TFE) projects, AWS resources, and reusable modules.

• Support event-driven and serverless solutions utilizing AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS).

• Help design and maintain APIs and backend services for platform integrations.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and uphold quality standards in accordance with best practices.

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in developing, debugging, and testing Python applications.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control, code reviews, CI/CD fundamentals).

• Practical experience with Terraform (preferably Terraform Enterprise), including module usage and safe change management.

• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS, SNS, SQS, and ALB.

• Understanding of event-driven architectures and serverless and/or containerized solutions.

• Basic experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams.

• Openness to occasionally working flexible hours to facilitate global collaboration as needed.
