Python, Azure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• You will engage in ambitious projects with a leading client in the banking sector, developing solutions using Python and enhancing cloud capabilities with Azure while adhering to functionality, security, and end-user experience standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or engineering in Computer Science or equivalent fields.

• Over 6 years of experience in Software development, with proficiency in Azure services.

• Advanced experience with Python 3.10+ as the primary development language across all repositories.

• Familiarity with Azure Functions (Python v2 programming model) — including HTTP triggers, host.json configuration, and function_app.py.

• Experience with Azure services:

• - Azure AI Document Intelligence: used for document classification and OCR extraction.

• - Azure OpenAI (GPT-4o): structured data extraction with LLMs, dynamic prompt management from Cosmos DB.

• - Azure Cosmos DB: storage for extraction prompts and dynamic configurations.

• - Azure Blob Storage: persistence of generated PDFs and mortgage file documents.

• - Azure Custom Vision: detection of corporate/banking logos in documents.

• - Azure Identity / Managed Identity: service authentication between Azure services.

• Experience with PDF manipulation libraries: PyMuPDF, pikepdf, pypdf, pdfminer.six. The forgery detection module conducts metadata analysis, incremental reviews, graphic layers, image overlays, and text injection. Programmatic PDF generation with a custom writer (MinimalPdfWriter).

• Data Processing experience:

• - Pandas for normalization of bank statement tables.

• Desired Knowledge:

• - Experience in the Mexican financial/banking sector (mortgage loans).

• - Familiarity with Pillow and numpy for image analysis.

• - Experience with pyodbc for SQL database connections.

• - Experience with computer vision models (Azure Custom Vision, LLM with vision capabilities).
