Psychologist Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Authorize, oversee, and assess care for behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues based on clinical information provided by practitioners and internal criteria for medical necessity and appropriateness of care.

• Conduct peer evaluations with psychologists, behavioral health therapists, and/or Board Certified Behavior Analysts for outpatient services and/or requests for psychological testing.

• Engage with network practitioners to deliver education on best practice models and utilization management procedures.

• Collaborate with the Medical Director, or their designee, to address clinical authorization inquiries and concerns regarding specific cases.

• Address complaints from the state, providers, and members related to psychological testing or other services that require review by a PhD/PsyD.

• Lead outpatient rounds, providing clinical insights and oversight concerning outpatient services.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active psychologist license in Louisiana is required.

• A PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health is necessary.

• Proficient knowledge of psychological tests, testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices is required.

• For ABA Reviewers, there must be a working knowledge of psychological tests and procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices tailored for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• An unrestricted psychologist license (PhD or PsyD) is required upon hire.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA-D certification is preferred upon hire.
