Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Evaluate client reports and outcomes for medical issues and integrate these needs into service plans and treatment strategies.

• Fulfill reasonable administrative duties.

• Keep accurate clinical records of professional services provided.

• Continuously develop and enhance professional prescriber competencies.

• Deliver coordinated and integrated medical services alongside other client care offerings.

• Facilitate communication between the facility and other healthcare providers regarding prescribed medications, their side effects, and necessary monitoring.

• Offer medication instructions that cover dosage, administration, contraindications, adverse reactions, and health education.

• Advise clients about medications and the potential interactions with alcohol or non-prescribed substances.

• Create written medication information fact sheets for each medication prescribed.

• Provide medication counseling when there are changes in prescriptions, significant dosage alterations, or when alcohol/chemical abuse is suspected or documented.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active and unrestricted APRN license in the state of New Jersey.

• Certification as a PMHNP.

• Valid and unrestricted CDS and DEA registrations in New Jersey.

• Experience in providing care to clients with a variety of mental health disorders throughout their lifespan.
