Protocol Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Apply formal verification methods using Certora on Morpho smart contracts to ensure the validation of crucial invariants and minimize vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Perform thorough security assessments of protocol smart contracts to uncover significant bugs and enhance the attack surface ahead of audits.

• Take ownership of the bug bounty initiative by managing submissions, engaging with security researchers, and coordinating responses to critical discoveries.

• Develop periphery smart contracts that connect with the core protocol to broaden functionality while upholding security standards.

• Investigate emerging attack vectors and new classes of vulnerabilities to keep the team proactive against threats and to advise on security best practices.

• Represent Morpho's security strategies at conferences, meetups, and through published research to establish credibility within the security community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in auditing smart contracts.

• Demonstrated success in identifying critical vulnerabilities in smart contracts.

• In-depth knowledge of the Ethereum Virtual Machine, Solidity, and the blockchain ecosystem.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Passion for DeFi and lending protocols.

• A collaborative mindset with a low ego.

• Experience with bug bounty programs and platforms, including triage, validation, and communication with researchers (preferred).

• Experience in writing smart contracts securing significant Total Value Locked (TVL) (preferred).

• A publication record in applied cryptography, security, or related fields (preferred).
