Proposal Writer, Part Time, On Call

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, strategize, and compose compliant and persuasive proposal content.

• Act as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for management segments of proposals ranging from $100M to over $1B.

• Assist GDIT Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in formulating and developing proposal win themes.

• Identify unique selling points, advantages, and essential features of technical and management solutions.

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and operations personnel to gather data for past performance documentation.

• Write, edit, and refine proposal materials.

• Coordinate with technical and program staff to ensure the accuracy of content.

• Analyze RFP requirements and engage in color team reviews.

• Offer guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior proposal writers.

• Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of federal proposal writing experience for a government contractor or equivalent technical background.

• Bachelor’s Degree; or alternatively, 4+ additional years of professional experience, training, education, and/or certifications will be accepted.

• Proven experience as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Management Writer.

• Expert understanding and practical experience in developing technical and management proposal volumes.

• APMP Certification is preferred.

• PMP Certification is preferred.

• No security clearance required.

• US citizenship is not mandatory.
