This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Utilize P6 software to create and sustain EPC project schedules grounded in realistic execution strategies.
• Support project planning by reviewing a variety of project documents, design drawings, contracts, and exhibits to comprehend specific needs that will inform the EPC schedule.
• Conduct basic quantity take-offs to determine accurate activity durations and manage all working files utilized during baseline development, including Excel trackers, weather data, PPA agreements, among others.
• Collaborate with various teams within the organization, including engineering, procurement, project management, and field management, to gather their insights.
• Solicit input from diverse stakeholders, such as owners and third-party consultants, to enhance their engagement and the precision of the schedule.
• Ensure that sound logic and realistic durations are incorporated into the schedule, adhering to recommended CPM best practices.
• Participate in project meetings, including pre-construction, project coordination, and monthly owner meetings, to grasp issues, receive updates, and tackle any schedule-related challenges or inquiries.
• Revise the schedule at least bi-monthly to reflect actuals, track deviations from the critical path, and recommend corrective measures to the project team.
• Communicate schedule updates to the project team and senior scheduler, while maintaining schedule reports in teams and SharePoint folders.
• Keep the company standard delay log to record delays along with their details from business development through to project completion.
• Document any weather-related delays in the P6 schedule and compare them to NOAA normal weather on a monthly basis.
• Conduct schedule analysis for what-if scenarios, change orders, and claims.
• Educate field personnel on scheduling procedures, assisting PEs and APMs in maintaining and analyzing their current project schedule to enhance their proficiency and ownership of the schedule.
• Visit job sites regularly to support the scheduler’s role.
• Prepare “as built” schedules that accurately reflect actual conditions and activity dates.
• Aid in maintaining the SOLV P6 database with precise project/activity codes, file management, appropriate status/delay comments, and upkeep of P6 notebooks.
• Support reporting activities while preserving the core schedule structure and relevant activity codes.
• Undertake any additional initiatives or responsibilities as assigned by the senior scheduler.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of project engineering or related experience.
• Must have experience in scheduling construction projects, particularly for HV, substations, or other electrical components.
• Prior experience in scheduling within an EPC context is highly preferred.
• Capability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in using P6 Software is required.
• Understanding of construction methods and processes.
• Experience in construction-related scheduling utilizing the Critical Path Method.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including business writing and a professional phone demeanor.
• Reliability, dependability, and adaptability.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
