Project Leader, Application Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• This position primarily focuses on providing support for applications, data historian (PI/PARCView), and establishing interfaces between operational technology (OT) and business networks for ten Paper Mills across the United States.

• The working environments include SQL Server, MS Windows/AD, OSI/PI, and PARCView.

• Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities, along with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a dynamic industrial setting.

• Some travel will be required on a project-by-project basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study is required.

• Experience with:

• Supporting, communicating, and interfacing with control networks/PLC’s (PI-OPCDA, PI-OPCHA, PI-OPCUA).

• Software/application development using various development kits/tools (PI-OLE, PI-SDK, or PIAFSDK).

• Data Historian Software (OSI/PI).

• Creating and managing points.

• Configuring and supporting interfaces.

• User access management.

• System management, installation, and support.

• SQL Server database 2017 and newer.

• Writing SQL queries.

• Creating stored procedures, functions, and views.

• Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:

• VB.Net / C#, .NET framework 4 and above.

• Source control, preferably Git.

• Web Development Experience.

• ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Blazor.

• JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS.

• HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap.

• Mobile web development.

• 4-8 years of experience with data historians, interfacing and communicating with control networks, and software development.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints, manage multiple tasks, and cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

• Must demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.

• Should be capable of making independent decisions through creative problem-solving and thorough requirements gathering.

• Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and changing environments.
