Project Budget Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily financial management of simple or moderately complex studies, focusing on the functional area's segment of a project budget, as assigned with minimal guidance.

• Conduct reviews of contract and bidding assumptions.

• Analyze budget versus actual data on a monthly or other specified basis.

• Collaborate closely with the project lead to update resource forecasts and unit grids, while presenting and resolving any outstanding issues related to resource forecasts, unit grids, and contract modifications.

• Work in conjunction with other departments and the project lead to manage the financial components of the functional area's segment of projects.

• Support the project team in identifying risks, clarifying reasons for unsupported hours, and participate in risk meetings as necessary.

• Prepare estimates for contract modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.

• Prior experience that equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years).

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in complex project management (including resource allocation against budget, forecasting, and the completion/coordination of related quantitative and analytical tasks) is preferred.
