This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of various projects that differ in contract types, sizes, complexities, and levels of risk.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior technical personnel, contracts, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, and subcontract management teams.
• Oversee and track contracts from the award phase through to closeout, which includes contract establishment, billing, cash flow analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare and monitor cost and schedule variance reports to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
• Review and keep track of contract funding and expenditures.
• Ensure revenue is recorded in line with the EAC and provide precise data for quarterly forecasting plans.
• Develop and maintain bottom-up estimates at completion, adhere to submission and certification deadlines, and provide management with EAC and budget updates.
• Guarantee compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and corporate policies regarding contract performance and financials.
• Oversee the subcontractor invoice process, which includes approval, payment processing, and the maintenance of financial and funding information.
• Acquire proficiency in new applications for data entry and verification.
• Execute tasks according to objectives and set goals to achieve the outlined targets.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with 10 years or more of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with 8+ years of experience, or a PhD or JD with 5+ years of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Over 10 years of experience in Project Control, preferably within Government Contracting.
• More than 10 years of experience with government contracts or equivalent financial and accounting experience.
• In-depth understanding of Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), and/or Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contracts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as being a valuable team member.
• Proficient in essential Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to learn new process tools, manage multiple tasks, and provide outstanding management support.
• Ability to offer insights, present, and manage finances for program- and account-level financial reporting.
• Capable of providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
• Experience with Costpoint and Cognos is a plus.
