Professor of Practice – Apprenticeship College of Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional instruction in designated courses that prioritizes candidate engagement and success.

• Create and deliver both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences rooted in adult learning principles.

• Develop and modify course materials, assignments, and assessments to align with program objectives.

• Offer personalized coaching and mentorship to candidates.

• Participate in regular coaching cycles, which include lesson evaluations, constructive feedback, and reflective discussions.

• Identify candidates who may be at risk and proactively communicate with advisors and program partners.

• Engage in faculty learning communities, onboarding activities, and mandatory professional development sessions.

• Collaborate with colleagues to foster program innovation, assessment cycles, and curriculum enhancement.

• Contribute to collective learning and reflection within the faculty community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Behavioral Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years as a licensed/certified provider or 5 years of teaching experience at the college/community college level.

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Must meet the WAC 296-05-003.14 Competent Instructor criteria.

• Experience in an SUD setting and possession of an SUDP credential or its equivalent (e.g., CADC).

• Proficiency in facilitating adult learning, ideally in virtual or online formats.

• Strong, professional communication skills and a dedicated approach to candidate engagement.

• A coaching mentality grounded in inquiry, reflection, and relationship-building.

• Comfort in navigating academic policies, systems, and expectations.
