This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Execute advanced specialty professional coding for intricate surgical encounters.

• Act as a subject matter expert to ensure coding accuracy, reimbursement integrity, and regulatory compliance.

• Analyze operative reports and clinical documentation to assign precise procedure codes.

• Utilize advanced modifier logic and coding principles to guarantee compliant and optimal reimbursement.

• Address escalated, complex, and ambiguous coding challenges with expert judgment and minimal oversight.

• Collaborate with coding teams and operational stakeholders to resolve specialty coding issues.

• Communicate coding rationale and documentation requirements to stakeholders.

• Promote consistency and minimize variation in complex coding practices.

• Ensure coding results support reimbursement, reporting, and compliance objectives.

• Implement updated coding guidance and facilitate the adoption of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• One of the following certifications: AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CIC, or AAPC-COC.

• Apply advanced specialty coding techniques to complex surgical encounters.

• Interpret operative reports and clinical documentation effectively.

• Utilize modifier logic and coding principles to ensure compliant reimbursement.

• Resolve complex coding scenarios with accuracy and consistency.

• Surgical CPT coding experience is preferred.
