ProFee Audit Specialist – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts audits of Professional Fee coding for medical records and abstracts utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, along with relevant coding references to ensure accurate coding assignments.

• Offers detailed and clear explanations for any modifications identified, including specific references and locations of documentation.

• Stays updated on regulatory changes.

• Manages and prioritizes multiple cases simultaneously to maintain departmental workflow and facilitate case resolution.

• Delivers coder education through the auditing process.

• Operates in a professional, efficient, and positive manner.

• Complies with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) code of ethics.

• Must demonstrate a strong customer-service orientation and exhibit professionalism, flexibility, dependability, eagerness to learn, commitment to excellence, and dedication to the profession.

• Engages in high complexity of work functions and decision-making.

• Possesses strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.

• CPC certification (mandatory).

• CPMA certification (preferred).

• Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate.

• Proficient in various software, including Epic, Cerner, and other commonly used EMRs.
