Production Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Create and implement POCs alongside studios, incorporating Toon Boom tools into Japanese production pipelines.

• Produce localized demo materials and documentation.

• Offer on-site assistance during both pilot and production stages.

• Act as the technical authority at events and workshops, including the Japan Production Summit.

• Educate trainers and align educational programs with industry-standard workflows.

• Collaborate with the sales team on client solutions, contract renewals, and demo presentations.

• Coordinate with educational initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in 2D animation production using Toon Boom Harmony and Storyboard Pro.

• Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in Business English.

• Strong comprehension of cut-out and rig-based animation workflows (Western methodologies).

• Exceptional presentation and cross-cultural communication abilities.

• Preferred background as a Production Coordinator, Technical Director, or Rigging Lead.

• In-depth knowledge of Japanese studio practices and anime production techniques.

• Experience in mentoring or teaching digital animation is a notable advantage.

• Team-oriented, self-driven, and culturally aware.

• Effective problem solver who excels in hybrid creative-technical positions.

• Enthusiastic about advancing Japan’s animation workflows.
