This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with managers, team members, and company executives to assess the production requirements of the business and assist in establishing quotas and other key metrics for production.
• Work in conjunction with production staff to formulate the weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Coordinate efforts with production, quality, and shipping teams to ensure monthly sales objectives are achieved.
• Identify priority products, enhance workflows, and fulfill order obligations.
• This entails prioritizing particular client orders for business partnerships or to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Determine which products are given priority and align project needs with the production floor.
• Compile reports to monitor progress against monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales projections.
• Analyze and recognize risks inherent in the Master Production Plan, taking into account manufacturing lead times and capacity limitations.
• Support the organization’s objectives for timely delivery according to customer requested dates.
• Aid in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, reconciling the demand plan with production capacity and supply constraints.
• Monitor and report on forecast accuracy KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, MAPE, and bias) and lead root-cause analysis along with corrective measures.
• Collaborate with purchasing to synchronize raw material and component availability with the production plan, paying particular attention to materials with long lead times and shelf-life sensitivities.
• Assist in maintaining precise item, lead time, and capacity data within the ERP/MRP system to facilitate reliable planning.
• Contribute to the formulation of the annual top-line revenue budget by consolidating customer forecasts, historical forecasting trends, and firm orders into a defensible annual volume plan.
• Follow up with customers regarding delivery dates for customer-supplied materials and components to ensure timely availability for scheduled production.
• Support analysis on how long-term forecasts affect equipment capacity, informing new project site assignments and future equipment requirements.
• Provide site production planners with the necessary data to establish a firm four-week production schedule.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
• Previous experience in supply chain demand planning is a plus.
• Possess knowledge and experience in forecasting, data analysis, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrate analytical abilities and support analysis with data.
• Experience in personal care, cosmetics, CPG, nutraceutical, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and demand-planning tools or ERP planning modules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of production planning software.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to navigate a complex and fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing and aligning cross-functional partners.
