This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Act as the primary contact for R&D engineering regarding product technology both internally and externally.
• Sustain comprehensive knowledge of product architecture, including requirements, design, applications, technical roadmaps, customer challenges, and technology trends.
• Lead initiatives in product technology exploration, innovation, development, and implementation.
• Propel the formulation and enhancement of multi-generation product technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Guide global functional engineering and application teams in the development of new products/applications and ongoing support activities.
• Collaborate with the ITW innovation center on exploring new technologies, conducting research, assessing opportunities, and gathering competitive intelligence.
• Represent EAE in discussions with customers regarding product technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Manage the intellectual property strategy, roadmap, and development.
• Capture customer feedback, market trends, and priorities, translating them into multi-generation product and technology roadmaps.
• Lead the R&D core team for new product development initiatives.
• Provide insights on resources and timelines for new development projects and initiatives.
• Represent ITW-EAE as a technical product leader in meetings, conferences, and forums through active participation, presentations, training, and contributions.
• Proven experience with complete reflow soldering product development, covering concept, design/development, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
• Strong grasp of the reflow soldering process and its applications.
• Solid understanding of reflow solder technology trends.
• Knowledge of prominent reflow products on a global scale.
• Experience in direct customer interaction and gathering voice of customer (VoC) feedback.
• Ability to conceptualize innovative ideas based on marketing/customer requirements and develop both short- and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration with global, cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in product design, development, technology management, or process/application development.
• Preferred: familiarity with machine learning, intelligent machines, and artificial intelligence as applied to reflow soldering.
• Preferred: experience in developing reflow thermal profiles.
• Preferred: strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with global, cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: high proficiency in problem-solving.
• Preferred: experience in creating technical value propositions.
• Preferred: capability to manage projects effectively.
