This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and uphold item master records in accordance with company standards.
• Oversee SKU creation and item setup processes.
• Ensure product categorization, hierarchy, taxonomy, attributes, and specifications are maintained.
• Generate and manage UPC and barcode data.
• Administer vendor information effectively.
• Implement updates for MSRP, retail, and cost as needed.
• Supervise scheduled, promotional, and other pricing modifications.
• Handle product images and digital product assets management.
• Conduct data quality audits and rectify discrepancies.
• Preserve the integrity of ERP item data.
• Track data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
• Record and sustain item master procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with merchandising, purchasing, inventory, operations, e-commerce, and other teams.
• Assist with special projects and additional tasks assigned by management.
• Deliver timely and accurate product information to cross-functional teams.
• Identify areas for enhancing data management processes.
• 2–5 years of experience in retail merchandising, purchasing, product information management, item master administration, inventory management, or a related field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be taken into account.
• Preferably experienced in maintaining extensive product databases and utilizing ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with skills in VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, filtering, and data importing/exporting.
• Familiarity with musical instruments and music retail products is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite and Shopify POS is advantageous.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to identify inconsistencies, investigate issues, and rectify data discrepancies.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• A process-oriented mindset with the ability to propose effective solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the capacity to work across departments.
• Basic knowledge of musical instruments and related products.
• Understanding of retail product hierarchies, item taxonomy, product attributes, and item master maintenance.
• Willingness to learn from and follow the guidance and training of experienced colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
