Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, manage, and revise design guides, white papers, and engineering documentation.

• Analyze test results and research insights to establish design parameters and engineering tables.

• Implement applicable design standards (CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, AS/NZS) and accurately document assumptions and limitations.

• Collaborate with the R&D team to integrate data effectively.

• Work alongside the Marketing team to enhance visual design and user experience (UX/UI).

• Resolve recurring inquiries from the industry in conjunction with the Technical Service team.

• Create and sustain calculation spreadsheets and digital engineering resources.

• Recognize deficiencies in current resources and suggest improvements.

• Lead projects related to technical documentation and engineering resources.

• Offer technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Timber Engineering (or a related field).

• 5–10 years of engineering experience.

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation, or eligibility for registration.

• Proven experience in managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders.

• Experience in developing engineering resources, design guides, specifications, calculation tools, or technical publications is advantageous.

• Experience in timber engineering, structural connections, mass timber, or building products is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of design standards like CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, or equivalent.

• Excellent project management, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Strong skills in technical writing and analysis.

• Capability to work autonomously and lead projects to successful completion.

• Proficiency in English is required.
