Product Engineer, AI – Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of challenges from initial ambiguity to successful launch.

• Transform unclear problems into well-defined product and technical solutions.

• Work in close collaboration with product, design, engineering, clinical, pharmacy, and operations teams.

• Develop across frontend, backend, data, AI integrations, and infrastructure as required.

• Utilize technologies such as Vue, PHP/Laravel, Python, and associated systems.

• Create AI-enhanced product experiences that are useful, dependable, swift, and user-friendly.

• Pay attention to detail: UX, copy, latency, edge cases, empty states, accessibility, privacy, and failure modes.

• Enhance reliability through testing, observability, monitoring, and deliberate system design.

• Guide engineers and contribute to improving the quality of product and technical execution.

• Take responsibility for the products you deliver.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally, possess 5+ years of hands-on full-stack engineering experience at a Senior or similar technical level.

• Strong full-stack expertise encompassing frontend, backend, and data-focused systems.

• Proven history of delivering impactful product features from start to finish.

• Strong product discernment and ease in making decisions amidst uncertainty.

• Excellent communication regarding technical trade-offs, scope, product choices, and associated risks.

• Good judgment in areas of reliability, testing, observability, performance, accessibility, privacy, and maintainability.

• Comfortable incorporating AI tools into your daily engineering practices.
