Senior Software Engineer – Fullstack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold scalable APIs and high-quality web applications utilizing React, Next.js, and contemporary frontend tools.

• Construct and integrate frontend applications with backend services and databases, such as SQL and Snowflake, to provide data-driven functionalities.

• Create and manage scalable APIs and cloud-native services on Azure.

• Advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, and trunk-based development to ensure dependable releases.

• Lead and participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and the establishment of engineering standards.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to transform real-world requirements into production-ready solutions.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability across the platform.

• Mentor engineers and foster a strong culture of learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing modern web applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Strong grasp of system design, encompassing APIs, caching, event-driven patterns, and client-server architecture.

• Experience in building and scaling applications on Azure.

• Solid SQL and database design skills.

• Ability to articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, and implementation choices clearly.

• Comfortable working in a distributed environment with effective communication and a strong sense of ownership.

• Preferred: Experience with Snowflake in data-driven application settings.

• Preferred: Background in enhancing observability, performance, and reliability in cloud-based SaaS applications.

• Preferred: Experience in mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to robust engineering standards.
