This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees a portfolio of mortgage loans.
• Assesses file submissions for both accuracy and completeness.
• Confirms that all necessary documents are correctly organized within the loan files.
• Conducts an initial review of income, credit reports, and assets to ensure compliance with lender guidelines.
• Requests and follows up on any outstanding items with borrowers.
• Upholds a high standard of customer service by proactively communicating with borrowers and team members.
• Provides clear and effective communication with borrowers and team members during the completion of file-related tasks.
• Understands and ensures adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements in accordance with federal and state laws and company guidelines.
• Submits the completed loan package to the Underwriter for assessment and approval.
• Forwards the finalized loan package to Closing after the last review.
• Ensures that the loan origination system is consistently updated with accurate and current information.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of mortgage experience with various investors (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA).
• Mortgage processing experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination programs, and underwriting guidelines.
• Shows a commitment to delivering quality customer service.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Well-organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborates effectively with others.
• Proficient in all compliance-related regulations, including RESPA and TRID.
• Strong mathematical abilities.
• Competent in PC skills (MS Office products) and familiar with mortgage origination systems; Encompass experience is preferred.
• If applicable, maintains individual licenses as mandated by state regulations and the SAFE Act.
