Principal Technical Architect – Composable, AI Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Chief Technical Architect to establish and enhance Conduent’s long-term architectural vision across various platforms, products, and client solutions.

• Continuously assess emerging technologies and architectural frameworks to ensure Conduent integrates capabilities that enhance speed, resilience, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead architectural decisions that focus on composable, modular, and reusable platform components, facilitating swift solution assembly and adaptation for clients.

• Balance immediate delivery requirements with long-term sustainability, ensuring architectures are free from vendor lock-in and minimize technical debt.

• Act as the principal architect for designing hybrid (on-premises + cloud) and multi-regional production architectures that support large-scale transaction processing.

• Define and enhance reference architectures, patterns, and standards utilized across Commercial solutions.

• Ensure architectures are built for resiliency, scalability, observability, and operational ease.

• Serve as an escalation point for intricate architectural trade studies, risk evaluations, and production impact determinations.

• Lead research and technical design initiatives for application and platform modernization, including containerization, workload decomposition, and cloud-native transformation.

• Advocate for architectures that facilitate composable services, API-driven integration, and platform reuse, thereby reducing time-to-market for new client solutions.

• Spearhead enterprise-level AI adoption strategies, including GenAI, ML-driven automation, intelligent document processing, decision engines, and agent-based workflows.

• Ensure that AI-enabled architectures are secure, governed, auditable, and ready for production, aligning innovation with enterprise guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform architecture, or large-scale systems engineering.

• Proven track record of architecting high-availability, high-throughput, mission-critical production systems.

• Extensive expertise in designing and managing hybrid and cloud-enabled platforms.

• Strong background in driving architectural modernization and composability at an enterprise level.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance resiliency, cost, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Ability to articulate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Proven experience in decomposing monolithic architectures into microservices or modular monoliths.

• Capability to provide guidance and best practices for designing bridge architectures that enable secure communication between modern cloud modules and remaining on-premises components via APIs or Event-Driven buses.
