Principal Technical Analyst – MMIS, Medicaid Pharmacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance intricate SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to facilitate analysis, configuration validation, reporting, and defect resolution.

• Conduct comprehensive data analysis and root-cause investigations to diagnose system and production issues.

• Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, reconcile, and validate data across different environments to aid in solution development, testing, and quality assurance.

• Assist in performance tuning efforts by evaluating queries, batch jobs, execution plans, and system throughput.

• Execute smoke testing and post-release validation to ensure data integrity and system stability.

• Collaborate with data conversion teams to assist in migration planning, data loading, reconciliation, and validation tasks.

• Verify converted and migrated data to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business and policy objectives.

• Facilitate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel testing, and performance testing by validating data and system functionality.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 12 years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Data Analyst, or Healthcare Systems Analyst.

• Proficient in advanced SQL, including complex joins, transformations, large dataset analysis, and stored procedures.

• Experience in supporting MMIS, Medicaid, or Medicaid Pharmacy systems.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare data and Medicaid domains (Member, Provider, Claims, Pharmacy, Finance, Care Management).

• Background in data analysis, troubleshooting, and validating technical outputs.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
