
Principal Specialist, Supplier Quality – Electronics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the quality performance of suppliers through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, and handling supplier submissions of nonconforming materials.
• Oversee and facilitate supplier onboarding and their qualification/certification processes.
• Supervise source inspections and manage material release procedures.
• Conduct escape management, lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts, and suggest corrective and preventive measures for systemic supplier process and product material challenges.
• Assist RTX supplier initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Evaluate quality data to pinpoint systemic issues and formulate supplier-specific quality initiative plans.
• Utilize quality tools such as PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, and SPC.
• Ensure suppliers comply with contract stipulations, including Resourcing Gate, PPAP acceptance, and Work Transfer implementation.
• Persuade stakeholders to adopt ideas and proposals.
• Foster and cultivate effective teamwork across various functions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience in the Electronics sector.
• More than 6 years of professional experience in a supply chain operations environment, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to communicate effectively with both internal and external executives and staff.
• Familiarity with system standards, governing authorities, regulations, standards, QMS, auditing/assessing, and risk management.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• IPC standards certification is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
