This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Evaluate AS9102 Form 2 to ensure that raw materials, components, and processes comply with metallurgical and chemical technical standards.
• Analyze and interpret drawings, specifications, certifications, procedures, and related documentation.
• Convey non-compliance and non-conformance issues to both internal and external stakeholders, clarifying quality requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Record and report non-compliance and non-conformance incidents to suppliers.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Attend and engage in group meetings, teleconferences, and mandatory training sessions.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing CORE tools.
• Be available to work evenings and weekends as dictated by business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, certifications, and process documentation.
• Experience in reviewing First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Skilled in communicating technical findings, non-conformances, or quality requirements to cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Knowledgeable about testing and control of raw materials, finished products, and processing to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant government regulations.
• Familiar with chemical and metallurgical processes, including laser machining, electro-discharge machining, electro-chemical grinding, brazing, coatings, welding, and heat treatment.
• Understanding of shop operations, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ASQR-01 standards.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
