Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Utilize software engineering expertise for the design and creation of new products, along with modifications and enhancements to existing ones.

• Address software engineering challenges from the subsystem to the system level.

• Perform testing by employing established test protocols or by developing new ones as required.

• Keep precise documentation of concepts, designs, architecture, detailed designs, interface specifications, code, code reviews, and testing processes.

• Facilitate, lead, and engage in code and design review sessions.

• Offer software engineering and technical assistance for products launched in both domestic and international markets, as well as physician in-service programs.

• Ensure compliance with the Quality System in collaboration with Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance functions.

• Provide software engineering assistance in addressing product complaints and/or safety concerns.

• Align activities with company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, Quality System Regulations, and FDA regulations.

• Document software development as mandated by product development and quality protocols.

• Principal level positions may involve additional duties, such as leading and coordinating software development projects across multiple departments in accordance with the Product Development Procedure, Quality Policy, and Software Development Procedure.

• Manage external vendors and consultants when necessary. Create written protocols and reports. Lead project meetings and design reviews. Plan, direct, and implement project software engineering strategies. Drive project issue resolution. Plan, define, and supervise the work of others.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in C#/.NET/MAUI, with experience in Windows and Mobile Application Development.

• Additional expertise in software languages, with a strong preference for deep knowledge of C# and MAUI.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A collaborative team player who works effectively with others.

• Familiarity with competitive technologies is preferred.

• Understanding of medical, technical, and biomedical advancements related to the company’s products.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience [BS+14 years] or [MS+12 years] or [PhD+9 years].
