Principal Software Development Engineer – Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will spearhead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of Slate software.

• You will be responsible for coding and testing system components, leading code and design review sessions.

• You will take ownership of end-to-end code quality, including system tests, functional tests, and integration.

• You will consistently simplify processes, showcasing significant innovation, creativity, and judgment when addressing complex problems.

• You will collaborate with UX and product teams to develop and create new solutions and applications that prioritize customer needs.

• You will be regarded as an authority on technical matters by both the technical and business communities, and often consulted for making tough trade-off decisions.

• You will promote understanding of the impact and implications of technical decisions on the business, balancing technical leadership with sound business judgment to make optimal long-term technology choices.

• You will contribute to the professional development of others by actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical topics, assisting managers in guiding the career advancement of their team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 12 years of experience in professional software development.

• More than 10 years of programming experience using at least one modern language, such as Java or C++.

• At least 10 years of experience in full-stack mobile development – Android / iOS or modern web browsers and services, primarily in Java within a Linux or Unix environment.

• Over 10 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of both new and existing systems.

• More than 10 years of experience with the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational experience.

• At least 7 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems.

• Applicants must possess authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
