Principal Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, production-ready services directly within the core Testlio software platform.

• Create clear architectural standards and reference patterns that delineate domain boundaries, transforming our existing codebase into modular services.

• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to implement frontend framework consolidation, enhancing operational performance and observability.

• Ensure system efficiency and compliance by designing with security, cost-effectiveness, and ISO 27001 standards as the focal points.

• Incorporate secure AI/LLM patterns into customer-facing interfaces, establishing stringent operational guardrails and fail-safe mechanisms for our Quality API.

• Counsel executive, product, and engineering teams on significant technical trade-offs, converting business requirements into clear technical strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of practical software development experience in building cloud-native, business-critical platforms.

• Advanced expertise in distributed system patterns, data modeling, event-driven design, and both Relational and NoSQL database technologies.

• Demonstrated success in designing and migrating application infrastructures, particularly in transitioning from monolithic architectures to modular services.

• Extensive experience in establishing enterprise-ready patterns within AWS, focusing on high availability, cost efficiency, and secure infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of contemporary full-stack coding environments, including frontend web frameworks, scripting languages, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical, production-level experience in deploying AI/ML or LLM-based solutions with a focus on observable and safe automation patterns.

• Proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly when conveying advanced architectural concepts to business executives.

• Capability to function effectively as an individual contributor in fast-paced, uncertain environments, demonstrating proactive problem ownership.

• Strong focus on collaboration and alignment, able to guide distributed engineering teams and technical colleagues without direct authority.

• Exceptional analytical skills, balancing a broad long-term technology vision with practical, short-term implementation challenges.

• Natural preference for remote-first work, effectively communicating and documenting technical decisions asynchronously across various global time zones.
