Principal SAP Production Planning Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and optimization of the production planning process in SAP S/4HANA, encompassing demand management, MRP, capacity planning, and production order management.

• Evaluate planning run outcomes, address material shortages, and synchronize production schedules with business requirements.

• Work in conjunction with supply chain and procurement teams to guarantee optimal material availability and enhance production efficiency.

• Develop and maintain real-time data interfaces that ensure seamless bidirectional communication for production orders, operations, material consumption, and quality data.

• Diagnose interface malfunctions, data discrepancies, and production variances between SAP and MES.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required (or equivalent work experience may substitute for a degree, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience).

• Generally, 12+ years of relevant experience is expected.

• Certification varies based on the business system.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and/or business processes is essential.

• Proficiency in software environments and upgrades is required.

• Advanced skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and process enhancement are necessary.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies is preferred.

• Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native application development is crucial.

• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is required.

• Proficient in advanced data analysis tools and techniques, including machine learning and AI.

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) is essential.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API management is necessary.

• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices is essential.

• Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and initiatives is required.

• Experience in guiding and mentoring other analysts is necessary.
