This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with customer optimization teams and management on projects aimed at enhancing network performance.

• Demonstrate the ability to master proprietary optimization tool processes and methods, thereby increasing customer engagement with products.

• Conduct KPI Trend Analysis to identify performance variations.

• Identify poorly performing cells and perform Root Cause Analysis.

• Execute Parameter Audits and Inconsistency Checks to formulate fine-tuning recommendations.

• Optimize coverage and footprint utilizing OSS and DT tools.

• Troubleshoot and optimize data throughput.

• Analyze drive test logs for initial tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting, including call flow and layer 3 messages analysis.

• Optimize Baseband and Radio Resource Capacity.

• Conduct CSFB, SRVCC optimization, and parameter audits, along with inconsistency checks across Radio Access Technologies (2G / 3G / 4G / 5G).

• Focus on VoLTE optimization.

• Carry out parametric optimization to achieve effective load balancing between LTE carriers and existing technologies in alignment with operator strategies.

• Tune LTE radio network features.

• Grasp the fundamentals of PCI/RSI Planning and Mobility Robustness Optimization, performing related planning and optimization tasks.

• Troubleshoot VoLTE issues and conduct SIP analysis.

• Investigate end-user/customer problems.

• Prepare and distribute technical guidelines and reports on technical studies.

• Create and deliver both engineering-level and executive-level reports.

• Coordinate with P.I. Works Project Management and the customer to achieve the objectives of ongoing and future projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma from engineering departments pertinent to Mobile Telecommunications.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in RAN design and optimization (LTE / 3G / GSM).

• At least 3 years of recent working knowledge and experience in LTE/VoLTE/5G optimization.

• Experience in Radio Network Optimization specifically with Ericsson.

• Familiarity with the latest Ericsson RAN releases.

• Exceptional customer relationship skills, both verbal and written, are essential.

• Preference will be given to candidates with project management experience under tight deadlines.

• Understanding radio network alarms and their implications is required.

• Hands-on experience in trace analysis is necessary.

• Strong knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) for 5G/4G/3G/2G in both OSS and Drive Test contexts.

• Extensive experience with Multi-Carrier - Multi-Band networks.

• A focus on user-perceived quality, beyond just KPIs.
