Principal Radio Frequency Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for production software development in Cyber Operations Research and Development.

• Take ownership of the architecture, implementation, and delivery of the production pipeline.

• Lead a group of Senior Software Engineers to support real-world cyber operations.

• Establish and uphold rigorous software engineering practices.

• Work in collaboration with the program technical lead to convert research findings into components for the production pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of applicable experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree; relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

• Proven experience in leading a software engineering team focused on a production data pipeline or streaming system.

• Advanced proficiency in Python development, including stream processing.

• Skilled in one or more compiled or systems programming languages (Rust, C, C++, or Go).

• Practical experience in designing and implementing relational database schemas.

• Experience with parsing binary serialization formats such as FlatBuffers or Protocol Buffers.

• Strong skills in Linux system administration.
