This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create innovative solutions and thought leadership publications/patents through exploratory analysis of complex, high-dimensional datasets.
• Utilize statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to uncover patterns and opportunities.
• Design, develop, and assess methodologies and advanced algorithms for analytics that are clinically and operationally significant.
• Deploy healthcare datasets, including electronic health records, administrative billing, and post-adjudicated claims.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, academic institutions, members, and product engineers to transform prototypes into products, services, and features.
• Identify innovative methodologies and AI/ML strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare systems.
• Provide leadership and implementation frameworks for large-scale product development.
• Act as a subject matter expert across business domains such as Cost, Clinical, and MDM.
• Engage in data exploration and conceptual design for strategic initiatives.
• Generate and test hypotheses and interpret results from product experiments.
• Lead meetings for gathering requirements with business/customers and IT teams.
• Analyze business requirements and challenges, design solutions, and propose recommendations.
• Translate user needs into clinically relevant methodologies and products.
• Develop features and user stories for product backlogs.
• Produce peer-reviewed publications and prepare patent submissions.
• Present groundbreaking work at conferences and symposiums.
• Offer data science guidance, demonstrations, and presentations to colleagues, clients, and management.
• Provide mentoring and training sessions.
• Create project estimates and work plans, while evolving best practices and processes for data operations.
• Review deliverables from team members.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Extensive experience in business and healthcare analytics.
• Strong expertise in statistics, simulation, and advanced mathematics.
• Experience in data search and matching.
• Proven experience in facilitating requirements gathering and analysis with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with healthcare research involving large patient datasets.
• Background in software design and development.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning.
• Documented success publishing as the first or lead author in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in submitting patent applications.
• Skills in customer engagement, collaboration, and conflict management.
• Experience in teaching a related subject in a university environment.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and perform sedentary tasks.
• Adaptability to quickly change priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Competence in operating computer programs and software.
• Effective communication skills both in person and electronically.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a business setting.
• Willingness to travel 1–20% within the US.
