Principal IAM Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and take ownership of the enterprise IAM architecture.

• Lead the architecture for hybrid identity environments.

• Establish standards and reference architectures for SSO, MFA, conditional access, and Zero Trust access models.

• Architect and supervise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) programs.

• Collaborate with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure the IAM architecture aligns with regulatory requirements.

• Assess, select, and integrate IAM tools into a unified architecture.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IAM engineers and administrators.

• Direct cross-tenant and M&A identity integration initiatives.

• Create and maintain IAM architecture documentation, standards, and governance frameworks.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in IAM-related incident response and access risk assessments.

• Stay updated on the identity threat landscape and modify architecture as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in IT/security roles.

• More than 5 years specifically dedicated to IAM architecture.

• Extensive expertise with Microsoft identity platforms: Entra ID (Azure AD), Entra ID Governance, Conditional Access, and Cross-Tenant Synchronization.

• Strong foundation in directory services, federation protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM), and PKI.

• Practical scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, or similar).

• Experience in architecting solutions across multiple tenants/domains.

• Knowledge of privileged access management tools and least-privilege design principles.

• Familiarity with compliance-driven identity controls.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a history of presenting architectural decisions to executive stakeholders.
