Principal Engineer – Substation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee all designated substation projects related to FERC 1000 RFPs and Early Stage Diligence initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Early-Stage Project Manager to assist with engineering requirements and scope alongside the Development Group.

• Provide training to external engineers of record (EOR) for all assigned projects.

• Acquire engineering consulting resources and oversee major material orders with long lead times for projects.

• Aid in the RFP / Diligence process and E&C Estimating through template enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.

• At least 7 years of experience in substation design and engineering for high voltage substation projects.

• Experience with HVDC is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Project Engineering and Project Management.

• Possession of a PMP or P.E. in a related field is a plus.

• Some travel within North America is required.
