Principal Engineer, Product Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Development of greenfield platform services that authenticate and authorize provisioning APIs utilized for enabling various Equinix technology streams.

• Collaborate on the design of a new IAM solution that integrates and coordinates with existing legacy systems to facilitate seamless customer migration.

• Create dependable deployment topologies and software designs that meet the 99.999 reliability requirements of our customers and application partners.

• Emphasize quality by focusing on the creation of robust unit tests.

• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders as they transition to the new platform solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in the field.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Capable of acting as a consultant for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Customer-oriented with the ability to design systems and software increments that meet specific customer use cases.

• Experience in developing customer-facing Identity Access Management solutions.

• Advanced knowledge of achieving 99.999 reliability within an AWS cloud environment.

• Familiarity with modern IAM constructs such as ABAC, RBAC, Federation/SSO, OpenId Connect, and the creation of access policies.

• Proficient in producing written documentation that describes complex systems and their interactions.
