Principal Engineer – Data Protection, Insider Threat

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with analysts to implement technological solutions that enhance prevention, detection, and response capabilities for Insider Threats.

• Facilitate solutions that support a robust Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program alongside Insider Threat detection and response efforts.

• Work closely with Lead Analysts in Data Protection and Insider Threat to define and execute technology strategies aimed at mitigating risks associated with open egress vectors.

• Utilize technical expertise and interpersonal skills to influence decisions regarding tools and processes that minimize cyber threat risks and attack surfaces across the organization.

• Partner with lead analysts to identify gaps, devise strategies, and manage the implementation of a continuously updated roadmap based on evolving attack landscapes.

• Act as a thought leader and strategist, guiding the team in the execution of solutions that align with the organization's mission and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required (STEM preferred).

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity solutions.

• A strong technical background with the capability to effectively influence technology and process decisions.

• Proficiency with tools such as Splunk, Purview, and/or M365.

• Ability to develop and manage strategic roadmaps to address evolving cybersecurity needs.

• Familiarity with cyber threat analysis and techniques for reducing attack surfaces.

• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without the need for sponsorship.

• Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.
