Principal Engineer – Clari Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design interfaces that are sustainable for the future, ensuring they are easy to develop against while fulfilling the needs of client-facing teams.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and various cross-functional partners to brainstorm and create new features for our expanding user base.

• Deliver high-quality outcomes by leading extensive cross-functional initiatives that significantly influence the business.

• Troubleshoot production challenges across services and various levels of the technology stack, enhancing the observability and reliability of the overall system.

• Take ownership of architectural decisions across multiple teams, steer long-term technical strategy, and elevate engineering excellence throughout the company.

• Provide mentorship to Staff and Senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in developing distributed systems or platform infrastructure tailored for high-scale, data-intensive workloads.

• Expert-level knowledge in Java or a comparable object-oriented language, alongside familiarity with infrastructure tools (Airflow, Kubernetes, Ray, Terraform), service frameworks (FastAPI, gRPC), and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Splunk).

• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP, including Kubernetes clusters (GKE/EKS), serverless architectures, and managed services (e.g., Lambda, Cloud Run, ECS).

• Designed solutions that necessitate distributed data infrastructure: message queues (Kafka, Kinesis), caching systems (Redis, Memcached), database optimization, and the creation of resilient, fault-tolerant architectures.

• Proficient in SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) along with data warehouse modeling; skilled in optimizing complex data queries, joins, aggregations, and transformations.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing platform monitoring and optimizations, including the identification of performance bottlenecks, latency improvements, cost management, and the efficient scaling of high-throughput API services.
