This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Define the architectural framework of Masabi’s platform, including the establishment of platform blueprints, standards, and best practices.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient, and cost-effective services consistent with the platform blueprint.
• Actively engage in coding and technical delivery, including conducting reviews and making targeted contributions.
• Tackle intricate platform challenges related to scalability, performance, resilience, and cost management.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor across engineering teams, providing support and influencing technical decision-making.
• Shape and contribute to the planning of the technical roadmap and prioritization of platform enhancements.
• Generate clear, high-quality technical documentation and architectural artifacts.
• Enhance the understanding and implementation of architecture across engineering and the broader business.
• Participate in and help shape technical forums and working groups, focusing on areas such as API and architectural governance.
• Extensive experience in designing and evolving distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on, contributing to coding, design, and delivery as needed.
• Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and contemporary infrastructure practices.
• Proven background in data architecture, including data platforms, pipelines, warehousing, or data lakes.
• Capability to transform loosely defined business or technical issues into clear, actionable technical strategies.
• Proficient in communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience in contributing to engineering standards, architectural patterns, or platform direction.
• Interest in or exposure to AI-enabled systems.
