
Principal Business Consultant, Buildings & Data – AI Strategy and Readiness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with Autodesk’s largest clients to create innovative strategies and solutions for Building design, engineering, and management, maximizing their Autodesk investment.
• Partner with Autodesk account teams to establish Customer Success Plans and customer interactions to implement those strategies and solutions.
• Work alongside the Autodesk Consulting Project Management team to guarantee exceptional delivery in line with the Customer Success Plan.
• Influence the Autodesk Consulting service offerings and their delivery methods.
• Engage with thought leaders within Autodesk and beyond to enhance and support the Autodesk product range.
• Serve as a trusted business partner to both clients and internal Autodesk teams.
• Design and deliver truly innovative business and technology solutions that strategically benefit Autodesk customers.
• Assist Autodesk customers in driving transformational change by applying established change management methodologies.
• Facilitate workshops with Autodesk clients to uncover solution opportunities and foster alignment on solution paths.
• Lead or support the production of high-quality design, engineering, and operational management outputs for clients.
• Define and monitor the value of solutions provided to clients, documenting the impact of their investment in Autodesk Consulting.
• Lead or contribute to the development of new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting service portfolio.
• Enhance the Autodesk Consulting brand by showcasing thought leadership in the industry, such as presenting at Autodesk University and other industry events, and publishing articles and position papers on industry trends.
• Oversee project delivery efforts, ensuring team members maintain the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
• Mentor junior staff on effective customer engagement techniques, including change management, strategic and critical thinking, workshop facilitation, and effective communication.
• Provide guidance on project estimation and engage in business development activities.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in the Buildings industry (experience with Autodesk products is highly preferred).
• Exhibit excellence in strategic thinking, innovation, program management, change management, business process optimization, and communications.
• Demonstrate the ability to facilitate customer workshops using a variety of techniques.
• Show initiative and the ability to drive decisions and resolve issues effectively.
• Proven capability to collaborate with diverse technical, sales, and project management teams.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and the ability to operate within structured project management frameworks.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential, including experience in conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and clients.
• Ability to simplify complex topics into accessible language for non-technical/business-oriented audiences.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including international travel.
