Principal Biostatistician – Therapeutic Areas, Oncology / Vaccines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acts as a key resource within the statistical department, providing mentorship to biostatisticians on essential job skills, while overseeing or developing training plans and materials for Biostatistics associates.

• Facilitates training sessions, or otherwise instructs new hires and enhances the competencies of current personnel.

• Oversees the activities of fellow biostatistics personnel on designated projects to guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality work.

• Conducts independent reviews of project outputs generated by other biostatisticians within the department.

• Offers support for all statistical tasks throughout the project lifecycle, from protocol development to Clinical Study Report (CSR).

• Prepares or supervises the preparation of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), including the creation of well-designed mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures, collaborating with sponsors as necessary.

• May take on the role of Lead Biostatistician, managing the statistical aspects of the protocol, generating randomization schedules, and contributing to the clinical study report.

• Develops or reviews programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.

• Evaluates SAS annotated case report forms (CRFs), database designs, and other study documentation to ensure compliance with protocol criteria and that all necessary data is captured to support a high-quality database and planned analyses.

• Implements company objectives and devises alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges.

• Serves as the biostatistics representative on project teams, collaborating with other departmental project team members.

• Prepares for internal meetings by contributing ideas and showing respect for the perspectives of others.
